Und das wichtigste zuerst! Laura Rössling ist die neue Deutsche Amateurschachmeisterin der Gruppe F.
Aber von Anfang an vom ersten bis zum dritten August stand das Finale der Deutschen Schach-Amateurmeisterschaften in Bad Wildungen an und auch die Schachzwerge waren vertreten. Neben Laura Rössling trat auch der ehemalige Schachzwerg Arne Herter an, um sich in ihrer Gruppe durchzusetzen.
Arne konnte sich in seiner Gruppe B bis auf den vierten Platz durchkämpfen, verlor dann aber leider die letzte Partie verblieb so mit grandiosen 4 Punkten knapp hinter Florian Kull, der sich mit einer besseren Buchholzwertung und zwei Remis, statt einer Niederlage, den dritten Platz sicherte.
Und auch Laura konnte sich in ihrer Gruppe F eine gute Platzierung erarbeiten. Nach einem knappen Remis in der ersten Runde konnte sie sich mit drei aus vier gewonnen Partien den neunten Platz sichern. Neben dieser herausragenden Leistung wurde Laura Deutsche Meisterin ihrer Gruppe.
Die Schachzwerge gratulieren Laura und Arne und freuen sich darauf, was die beiden in der Zukunft noch alles erreichen werden.
